Welcome to the Violence Against Security Blog, where we strive to shed light on an often overlooked and underreported issue: the prevalence of violence against security workers. Every day, countless security personnel put their lives on the line to keep us safe and secure, yet they often face threats, physical assaults, and even deadly attacks in the line of duty. Despite the vital role they play in our communities, security workers continue to be victims of violence and aggression at alarming rates. Through this blog, we aim to raise awareness of this pressing issue by sharing media stories and explore potential solutions to this ongoing problem. In order to keep up with the volume of reports being received we are now publishing them on Twitter from Sept 2022 – https://twitter.com/VAS_Blog
Older reports are available database format. If you would like a copy of the full report (Excel Spreadsheet) please contact us. The first entry is dated: 20/10/2021
