Central England Co-op has reaffirmed its campaign calling for better protection for colleagues after a security guard was punched in the head during a violent shoplifting incident in the Black Country

The security guard was walking back to his van at the time after leaving Corals. The passenger is then said to have got off the motorbike and grabbed the cash box whilst threatening the security guard with a knife.
